Yea I got that. Still expensive, ours has been under $2.00 for a while. Hell I’ve paid like $2.10 for premium recently.

Regular (87 octane) has been $1.36 here for a few months. Just his week it jumped to $1.51. :-/

Oil is going back up, summer months are coming. I’ve been tracking the oil per barrel prices and also keeping an eye on production levels, now that I created that year long stock market game for Oppo. I timed my last fill up (7 days ago) correctly and filled up at Stripes for $1.32. The prices won’t go back down that low ever again.

Texas cities probably won’t see 87 go more than $2-$2.25 this year.

Nope, never went there either. Also, there’s more than one Ampride now?

What the hell runs on 87 octane (that’s like 91 RON)? A lawnmower? I haven’t seen anything lower than 92 octane since the mid 90's.

Hi from California where we choose 87, 89, or 91 if lucky.

Having said that, I don’t think I’ve seen prices like that since the 90s either.

I have choices at the pump too. Black nozzle (diesel) or green one (95 octane petrol) and that’s it.

Doesn’t really matter what it costs if I couldn’t run my car on that (requires 98 octane).

Are you in a different country? I think the numbers reflect differently in some than others. 98 here is almost race fuel.

Kinja'd!!! . . > citizennick
03/03/2016 at 10:19

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah, I need 98 RON, which would be 95 (94?)AKI.

Must be an American thing. We only have 87,89,91 here. Sometimes a few more choices.

Kinja'd!!! . . > JQJ213- Now With An Extra Cylinder!

Over here all petrol stations have 95 octane, most will have 98, and select ones (like Shell) will have 100-101. All RON. You won’t be able to get anything below 95.

91 AKI is the highest we get in CA or 95 Ron

93 AKI would be 98 RON (which is an octane I have never seen)
